Study Tips

STUDY TIPS

         Make a mental checklist of topics and subjects you need to study by the exam date.
         Plan your study sessions with time constraints.
         Vary subjects, tasks and topics during lengthy study periods.
         Find one strategic place for studying and use it only for that purpose.
         Eliminate unnecessary distractions.
         If daydreaming or wandering mentally, walk away then come back and study.
         Feel free to take brief breaks of(5 to 10 minutes) after about one hour  of study.
         Continue to test yourself continuously.
         Create your own real-life exams.
         Ensure you restate, repeat and put in your own words, own them.
         Understand and be familiar with the big concepts first.
         Ensure you memorize all key terms and important people.
         Memorize all formulas.
         Use memorizing methods such as: Diagrams ,Memory searches (relate to past experiences)
         Be prepared for the exam day.
         Ensure you get a good night’s rest.
         Don't engage in last-minute cramming.
         Have a nice heavy breakfast.
         Leave books at home be as light as possible.
         Use the calculator on the system and be familiar with the calculator.
         Go with a positive mental attitude.
         Get to the exam room and compound EARLY enough.
